The coach portal

My Club is the small, read-only area a club coach gets of their own club. It exists so a coach can see how their archers are shooting without being given a staff account and the run of your federation, club or academy.

You reach My Club from My in the sidebar. The entry only appears for an account whose person is registered as a coach and whose coach record is attached to a club — no coach record, no entry.

That is also the fence. My Club carries no permissions of its own: the coach record is the permission, and every screen inside is confined to the one club that record names. There is nothing to grant and nothing to scope; registering somebody as a coach of a club is what turns this on for them.

An account that is not a coach can still reach the address, and Velos says so plainly rather than refusing:

The My Club page in Velos opened by an account with no coach record. Under the heading My Club and the line 'The club you coach — its roster, at a glance.', an empty card reads 'Nothing to show here' above a sentence explaining that the area is for club coaches and this account is not registered as one.The My Club page in Velos opened by an account with no coach record. Under the heading My Club and the line 'The club you coach — its roster, at a glance.', an empty card reads 'Nothing to show here' above a sentence explaining that the area is for club coaches and this account is not registered as one.
Nothing to show here means the account has no coach record — not that the feature is missing.

A coach whose record exists but has not been attached to a club yet gets a different message, No club yet. Both are fixed the same way: by an administrator, on the coach’s record.

The page opens on the club — its name, the coach’s own code and level, and a count of the athletes on the roster. Under it is the roster itself: every athlete in the club, with the bows they are graded on and their status, and a Search by name or licence… box over the top.

It is the same roster staff see on a club’s Members tab:

A club's roster on the staff side of Velos: athletes listed with photograph and licence number under columns for the athlete, bow type, level and status.A club's roster on the staff side of Velos: athletes listed with photograph and licence number under columns for the athlete, bow type, level and status.
The staff view of the same roster. A coach sees this list without the tabs, the buttons or the club's contact details around it.

Opening an athlete from the roster gives the coach two tabs, and nothing else:

  • Training — every session that athlete has shot, one row each: Date, Session, Arrows, Ends, Score and, where sessions are reviewed, Status. Opening a row shows the session in full — where it was shot, its arrows per end, its totals, its count of Xs, 10s and 9s, an End by end table and any Notes.
  • Competition record — the athlete’s competitions, podiums, best score and records held, their Season form, their Recent competitions, their Medals and any records currently standing in their name.

My Club carries sport data only. Names, photographs, licences, bow levels, statuses, training and results travel; contact details, dates of birth and guardian information do not. A coach is not staff, and this area does not quietly make them staff.

It is also read-only end to end. There is not a single action control on any of these screens — no editing an athlete, no correcting a session, no entering anybody into anything. A coach who needs a change made asks whoever administers Velos where you are.

If a coach tells you their roster is empty or missing, the answer is almost always one of three things, in this order:

  1. They have no coach record — register them as a coach of the club.
  2. They have one, but it is not attached to a club — attach it.
  3. Their account is not linked to the person the coach record belongs to.
