My Judging

A person your federation, club or academy records as a judge gets a page of their own: My Judging, in the My group of the sidebar. It lists the competitions they are assigned to judge — when each runs, where, and in what role — without giving them any run of the administration pages.

The entry appears for an account whose person holds a judge record. That is the whole rule: being a judge is a standing held with your federation, club or academy itself, and the standing is what makes this page yours. The assignments are separate — granted one competition at a time — so a judge with no assignments yet still has the page, and is told plainly: No judging assignments — “Competitions you are assigned to judge show up here, with their dates and shifts.”

Judging lists one row per assigned competition: Competition, Dates, Type, Role and State. The role is whatever was recorded on the assignment — Chair Judge, Director of Shooting — and reads Role not specified where none was.

Opening a row shows the competition the way My Competitions shows one — Overview, Location and Shifts — with one section on top that is this page’s own:

  • Your assignment — the role you are assigned in, and when the assignment was made.

Back to judging returns to the list.

The assignment is what entitles a judge to see a competition. A competition kept off the public calendar still appears here for the judges assigned to it — being appointed to officiate it is the connection — while a public competition they are not assigned to simply never enters this list. Opening the address of a competition you are not assigned to answers Assignment not found, whether or not the competition exists.

The mobile app carries the same page, fed by the same assignments.

Everything a judge sees here is read from their record and its assignments, under Archery → Judges:

  • The judge record itself is what makes the page exist for them — see Your own pages.
  • Assignments are made per competition, on the judge’s Competition Assignments card. Edit on an assignment opens Edit Role, and the free-text Role (optional) box — “e.g., Chair Judge, DOS” — is exactly what the judge reads in their Role column, so write it as you would want it read.
